Armor All Tire Foam Review

In this review, I’ll be looking at the rather interesting Tire Foam from Amor All.

How To Use

Normally, when it comes to tyre dressings, you need to properly clean the side wall of the tyre first. However, this isn’t the case with Armor All Tire Foam. The reason for this is that it also acts as a tyre cleaner.

In terms of application, it’s really easy. Shake the can, spray the foam approximately 15cm away from the tyre sidewall and that’s it. Depending on how dirty the sidewall is, you’ll start to see it rapidly change colour and also the dirt will fall off along with the foam.

One thing I would say though is that when using it, apply this first, let it dry and then wash the wheels. If you wash the wheels first and then apply this, you’ll get the dirt from the tyres on the wheel, meaning that you need to clean them again.

A little really does go a long way when using this, so you don’t need to go overboard when applying it.

Results

I found the results from this to be great. The ease of use is second to none, and for those short of time, it’s a great way to clean and dress the tyres at the same time.

In terms of the finish, it is a gloss black appearance you’ll get on the sidewall. If you prefer a more matt finish, I’ve found that waiting 5 minutes after applying the foam and then going over it with a microfibre cloth is enough to give a matt appearance.

With respect to how long it lasts for, I managed to get just under 300 miles before I felt the need to re-apply it. This was in really poor weather conditions (torrential rain) as well, so it makes it even more impressive.

Of course, your mileage may vary depending on the locations that you drive in.

Value For Money

Considering that this is a two in one product and how long it lasts between applications, I’d class it as excellent value for money. The price can fluctuate on Amazon, but generally speaking it’s less than £7.50 online. This is nothing short of exceptional. When using it as described, Armor All reckon that you can treat up to 35 tyres.

However, this is dependent on the profile of the side wall. So far with my testing, I’ve used it on 16 tyres and I’ve got over half of the can left, so I’d say that their estimation is great.

This is a little gem of a product, and definitely deserves a place in your detailing collection.
